All the user statistics, e.g. traffic, time online, resources visited, are recorded by the UserGate Server and are kept in a database. Database access is performed via ODBC driver, which allows the UserGate Server to work with different database formats (MS Access, MS SQL, MySQL, etc). By default the log.mdb is used to automatically connect to an MS Access database without entering a login and password each time. You can set a password in the “General Settings – Database Settings” tab of the Administration console. If the standard statistics database (log.mdb) is used, you should stop the UserGate Server after setting the password, then open the database in MS Access using the burst mode and set a password in “Tools – Security – Set database password”.
