UserGate provides complete gateway traffic control that now includes double antivirus protection. Both the Panda and Kaspersky antivirus engines are fully integrated into UserGate Proxy so they work together as a double layer intercepting all the data transferred through the various Internet protocols.

Entensys is focused on maintaining and enhancing UserGate Proxy, which provides powerful control, monitoring and security for web connections. Because new viruses and worms are constantly being created by hackers and because the amount of malware (any bad software, such as a virus, worm, Trojan, spyware, etc.) created each day is increasing, it is vitally important to provide an anti-malware engine that can detect not only all known malware, but which detects the presence of unknown malware as well. In order to deliver a solution for this situation as part of its security features, Entensys has been working with Panda Software and Kaspersky Labs to integrate antivirus scanning into UserGate.

Dual Antivirus engines

UserGate 4.3 with Dual Antivirus Engines is available for immediate download. UserGate fully integrates a multifunctional complex of features with an extremely high level of security for protected Internet access packaged with easy-to-use administration tools that make it easy to install, deploy and manage. Updates to the antivirus database can be fetched either automatically or manually from the Entensys website.

Panda Security

Entensys has partnered with Panda Security to provide Antivirus scanning functionality for UserGate. The Panda antivirus engine is integrated into UserGate Proxy so that Panda Security works as a filter intercepting all data transferred through various Internet protocols. From all traffic it selects only those objects which are subject to control and analyzes them for viruses and spyware. The administrator has the option to exclude specific users from this general checking.

Kaspersky Antivirus and AntiSpyware

Kaspersky Antivirus works as a filter to all data transferred through the major Internet protocols. Out of all traffic it selects only those objects which are capable of being threats and analyzes them for viruses and spyware. The administrator has the option of excluding specific users from this general checking.
